ATV/UTV implements on golf cars...
Let's see and hear your reports on using atv/utv implements on golf cars. Anything from snow plows to seed drills.
I'm going to be buying property and will need equipment. I'm hoping to be able to use my golf car. I will be doing land management work for hunting and will need to do some food plots and such. Looking for advice and reviews of equipment. |

you will find someone if you are patient. most will likely show you how they made their own stuff as there are not many implements that will fit directly to the cart. You will find some have fitted blowers, snow plows, lift forks and such and most were diy. i have made a snow plough and sweeper for mine but that was years ago and no longer have them as i sold my plot.

I don't see why you couldn't use some of the ATV towables with the cart, with the usual caveat of using it within the limitations of the engine power and frame capacity. As you know, these carts are not ATV's. I've seen other users using their cart with plows on the front....probably they just haven't seen your post. |

Re: ATV/UTV implements on golf cars...
I use a John Deere 17P yard cart behind mine regularly. Holds 17 cu ft of material, up to 1000 lbs if needed be. I've used a 48" yard roller that holds 750lbs of water to flatten out bumps and mole hills also. Finally, I've used my cart to pull my 23 gal broadcast/ spot sprayer for my yard to fertilize, broadcast herbicides and insecticides without issue.
Search for a member here by the name of Miker and check out all the implements he's attached to front of his cart using a winch. Pretty awesome. Hopefully he'll chime in with pics. |

I was going to post the same thing about miker. Cool stuff. He has a forklift, snow plow, grader blade, etc.
Also, Dundeebarnbuggy built an awesome hitch to handle his many farm trailers, equipment, etc. |

Great! Thanks for the tips guys! I knew some folks out there have used implements on these things. I'll look up miker and Dundee.
Hope some others will post on here about any equipment used on golf cars! |

Re: ATV/UTV implements on golf cars...
Well basically my Ezgo is a Honda 350 ES. Has motor and rear axel under it.
I have a blade I can quick attach for small grading. My ratrod trailer I built from left over parts. I've seen those little deer plot disc that are for ATVs. They not all they are cracked up to be. There is a member on here that has a homemade front fork lift and all the accessories for it that is pretty neat. |

Re: ATV/UTV implements on golf cars...
With the torque you get from an electric cart I wouldn't worry about towing anything. Back in the day my parents had a 3 wheeler ezgo that we used around the yard. At the time I was dating a hot blonde who was great at driving stick but couldn't drive a car to save her life. [emoji6] She backed off the edge of our drive way and I jokingly hooked up the cart and to my surprise it pulled her grand am right back up on. Easily a 1000lbs of dead weight. I've also witnessed a cart pushing and pulling demo cars on and off the track. I think you can easily pull or tow more than the frame will support.
If I were you I would put some thought into a fully custom trailer keeping the cart unmodded in terms of your land management needs. Itll be alot easier on the carts frame and suspension. Plus if you later change your mind about the carts abilities and your needs you can easily switch to an atv or utv keeping all of your custom work on the trailer. I saw a pretty tricked out trailer on pinterest a long time ago. It was built like a mini hay wagon. It had a seed/feed hopper spreader, a set of discs that sat under the trailer that were on hinge setup with a winch to raise and lower. It used the weight of the trailer to put pressure on the discs. He had an old bed box tool box on it and one of those 500 gallon plastic pallatized containers. Pretty cool setup if I can find pics I'll post em. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk |

Re: ATV/UTV implements on golf cars...
Electric carts will pull like a mule but that’s a good way to roast the brushes and overheat the commutator. You need a purpose built torque motor and high amp controller for doing regular heavy work with an electric cart.
There’s plenty you can do with a golf cart but depending on how big and how many food plots you want to make, you might be better off finding a medium sized tractor. When you don’t have a tractor, you think you don’t need one. But after you get one you realize just how much more stuff you can do with it than you thought you needed to before! |
