Searching for thread about short belts on EZGO
When I first joined I saw a thread about running a shorter belt on EZGO TXT gassers that traded top end for a little hill-climbing boost.
I have searched using every term I can think of and can't find it! I hate to ask for THIS kind of help, but if anyone can point me to the thread I'd appreciate it. |

Answered my own question:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/ezgo-...en-clutch.html I remembered to search for NAPA for one thing! Move along, nothing to see here. :D |

"Shorter Belts and 28 degree driven clutch"
You thinking about making that change? Inquiring minds want to know. |

I need to be able to climb some pretty steep hills, and I'm afraid a stop/start on a hill might not work out. My cart clocked 23MPH and I don't really need speed, so I'm going to try the 1" shorter belt. |

Re: Searching for thread about short belts on EZGO
I installed the Cartpartsplus key switch start spring and jumper on mine a few months ago. Engine never stops until I turn the key off. For stopping on hills, it is the best thing I've done to mine.

I put a shorter belt on my cart with not much change in climbing long hills here in N. Ga. I has to make some change because the shorter belt does not ride as high on the drive clutch (lower gear) I didn't see much change. but its a cheep experiment. Maybe with the driven clutch change it will, as I am told. |

Re: Searching for thread about short belts on EZGO
I will vouch for a 28* driven clutch. With bigger than stock tires, with stock motor it is the best mod for restoring torque back to the cart.
