I have a 2014 TXT. Trying to install the jakes rear blocks but the break cable are in the way and drivers side cable seems like it will be to short. Any help would be great.

I called Jakes and they said to swap the backing plates on the breaks from drivers side to passenger and vice versa. This will put the break assembly on the bottom instead of the top. The breaks will be tight but work and that I could put a longer passenger side cable on the drivers side. I'll let you know how this works out.

Last one I did was a 2005 that one and earlier ones made my own blocks and also used the all sports lifts on others. Did have to take the drivers side cable out of bracket on the frame, drivers side to free up some length. I have heard about flipping the backing plates on some workhorses but not txts. Maybe it's a Jakes thing?

Home made blocks..

Any update on the success or failure of flipping the plates? I'm having the same issue on my workhorse.

Thanks.

I've seen a brake extender for the cables
at the equalizer.
Looks like C channel with cut outs for the
brake cables.
I'm sure with some shop skills and ingenuity
most could make one or
extend the factory one enough without
having to flip brake actuators or buy extra cables.
