Default Stealth Patriot - front end part I don't know what it is

I have a older stealth patriot and I noticed this part (see pictures) looks to be "uncoupled" from where it goes. The buggy still runs ok as far as I can tell. I don't know what this piece is, if its broken, or can simple be put back. Can you guys help?

Thanks,
Chip

I'm glad you posted photo's of that. You would think it would interfere with the steering at some point. As long as you don't hit the button to engage the front wheel drive, I guess you could leave it like that. But since new CV shafts are still available, why not fix it?

It's not very hard to do and there are Stealth experts on this site to help walk you through it.

That's your driver's side axle. That end with the dirt on it and the torn boot is the CV joint. You need a new axle. There was some steel balls in there that are probably missing now. I'm sure they used axles common to other for wheel drive carts, ATV's etc.

Chip,
I have the same problem. Mine came out because my Tie Rod was bend and allowed the wheel to "bend out" and it poped out. Have you fixed it?

Agree. It's likely a cv axle from a utv or atv, but trying to figure that out might be tough. Call the manufacturer and see what it costs. It should be less than $200 if they are fair.

Did you fix yours? I have ordered parts (May 22nd) from Sunoco (above), got the CV joint & boot last week, but have yet to receive the Tie rod and end....I can't seem to get a reply from him. He charged me for all the parts, but only sent a/2 of them. I guess I need to order from someone else, but don't know who to get it from. Stealth out of business. Any ideas??

Give Sunoco some time. I have ordered parts from him and it took a while to get them but they did show up.

Here is another source for parts.

Hate to order from someone else and then they show up....seems he would at least reply to my emails to let me know that I'm not being *******! I can be understanding if I know I'm going to get the parts eventually (within reason). I have sent my personal email, cell phone and pleaded for a reply. Crickets!
