Are you gonna work with it or is it a parade pony? If you decide to go with 2 10 or 11" wide tires and load it, you will break the axles eventually. They are not made to take a load that far from the outboard bearing.

Or getting stuck in the grass if it's not loaded. But looks cool.

If your looking for more traction (and this may not be your objective) I would suggest going with a limited slip.....and mudder tires.

I'm building a turbo diesel golf cart and the rear end I'm putting in is 2.5" narrower than the front. Instead of using spacers I wanted to see how duals would do

That would be cool. I think you could go with dual 8" wide tires and it would work out fine. Dual 10-11 tires is going to be massively wide lol. Only issue I can see is if you are in area that you could get rocks/etc stuck between the tires that can be an issue.

I have 22s that are 11 wide. I have 8" wide rims while many rims are only 7. I do think it makes the tire wider, so you could look into wider rims as well. There was a cart here someplace from HI with way wide wheels on it like 10 or 12 maybe. Custom wheels may limit selection but if you go up to width of the tire or close it makes for a different setup that is wider and could get you your width without using spacers. Though when you get to the width of the tire you can expose the rim to damage. My 8 wheel with 11 tire the tire still sticks out more no problem, and the atv tire also has a bump at the bead to protect it some. I'm sure I could go 9 wide maybe 10 without sticking the rim edge out. But remember the design and size of atv tires all vary you would have to look at them closely. Also this is a 8x8 wheel (3+5 offset) with 22 ties so I have a lot of sidewall, but the atv tire is so stiff they don't sway at all, think they are 4 ply rated not sure. The wide wheel is not going to work as well against trail damage with larger diameter and less sidewall....depending on the look you want and how you use the cart. These are douglas wheels you can get in about any size.
