2000 Club Car DS Build

Started on a 2000 Club Car DS build tonight. Mainly just cleaning it up and installing an FSIP motor, AllTrax controller, and a HD solenoid. Got the cart ripped apart tonight, installed the motor and test fit the controller and solenoid.

I bought this cart for $500 and it didn’t work. My plan was to rebuild it but a buddy really wanted it so we did a trade. Somehow I still got stuck building it for him though :o

I am hoping it works when I get it back together because my knowledge is limited :)

If there's any cleaning/whatever you want to do to that frame do it now because it's a real pain to do later.

Ditto to what mooncarter said. Do it now while you can.

Also, I'm not sure it there's enough room, but have you though of moving the controller and solenoid to the other side of that plate to keep them as clean and dry as possible?

Yeah I am planning to clean it up some today. Yesterday was just test fitting. Just pulled the power washer out a little bit ago. Nothing more fun than power washing in 35 degree temps.

Not sure there is room to put the stuff on the other side. This was the stock location for the old equipment so I figured it was probably best here.

Trying to figure out whether I still even need the OBC on the left. Buddy bought a Lester Summit II charger for it so I don’t think it is needed but need to verify.

The Lester Summitt II is a smart charger and the OBC will no longer be needed.

Doing my 94DS right now, cleaned battery tray area top and bottom, sprayed with Rust-Oleum self etching primer then 2 coats of Rust-Oleum Hammered paint, seems real tough.
