Default 804 GXT lift - Hand Made.

I'm planning on lifting this EZGO GXT I have this weekend. Only problem is no one builds a lift for it. Sooo....I made my own front. Not to be confused with "other" home made lifts. I used some of the parts from the stock axle. I'll throw some paint tommorow with new pics.

Wheww! I was worried. I saw how these guys ripped that other guy. LOL!

I drew the main beam in CAD an cut it out on our CNC plasma table. The whole main beam "was" peices of flat plate. Not a tube. The hardest part was getting the angles correct. ( no jig, just angle finders etc.) Its ALLOT stouter tha the stocker. I used 3/16 plate. The stocker is .100. I also used thicker shock mounts because of the added length.

The only drawback is that you will probably have to big block the cart to move that massive piece of hardware!

You may have a slight problem friend. The front springs on the 804 cart are not flat. You may have to throw a wedge under the spring in order to achieve the correct steering angle "caster". I ran into the same problem with mine when I lifted it. What will happen if you leave it the way it is - you will experience tire scrub and possible bump steer. However, you did a fantastic job on the fabrication!!!!

Also, you can check with Allsports for a lift - they make one called a high 5
