What's the best lift option for me?
Hello,
I have a 1996 E-Z-Go Medalist/txt Gas golf cart which has never been lifted. Not sure on what type of lift to go with or brand. I've seen the 'spindle' drop kits such as: JAKES 6" EZGO WORKHORSE SPINDLE LIFT KIT (FITS GAS, 1994.5-2001.5) https://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/j...1994-5-2001-5/ This one: 6" EZGO TXT GOLF CART LIFT KIT FOR 1994-2001.5 TXT / MEDALIST (ELECTRIC & GAS CARTS) - STEELENG, DROP AXLE https://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/6...eng-drop-axle/ And this one which I really like with independent suspension and bumper and looks :) ...but a bit expensive JAKES 4"- 8" ADJUSTABLE HEIGH LONG TRAVEL LIFT KIT FOR EZGO TXT GAS 1994-2001.5 (3-BOLT STEERING COLUMN, GAS) https://www.golfcarttiresupply.com/j...ng-column-gas/ |

Re: What's the best lift option for me?
All in your preference. I put an A arm lift kit on my Yamaha 6” with 23” tires. It barely fits under the garage door other than that it’s personal preference.
A arm are more sturdy than the spindle I believe so if you’re doing some off roading I’d watch what you put on there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not really planning to go off roading. Just like the indie suspension, also really like the round 'bumber' bars on this one: How much better is the ride & handling with the one above or similar? Any other comparable A-arm indie suspension you would recommend? Also really don't care too much for the stock spindle/kingpin/thrustwasher setup. I plan on getting some better tires eventually maybe something like 20" or 22" There seems to be a lot more options with tires & wheels. t |

Re: What's the best lift option for me?
My 2cents - can’t beat the looks. The front half of the cart rides great. The back half, where I sit, of course isn’t improved. Squeaks a lot, both shocks gone after a year - mild trail use, nothing fast.
Way wider in front than back, so mud & snow are everywhere - working on wide flares to help with that! Probably will go a different route on the next one. |

All Sports 5" drop axle lift kit. Well thought out kit with quality parts. Ride quality is the same as stock, which isn't bad. Wheels are relatively aligned rather than narrower in front like stock.
Very happy with mine on a 1996 TXT gas. |

Re: What's the best lift option for me?
I did a decent amount of reading before I bought mine and it seems the drop axle kit is a little more popular than the spindle drop. However, I am sure it comes down to preference. I did the 6" drop axle and I am very happy with it, it's a different brand, but very similar to the one you posted a link to except mine came with a new tie rod and a weird looking V bracket I installed on the passenger side knuckle.

Yes, it is very much a personal preference. Think I should have studied more before I chose. Leaning towards the AllSport , if I do it over, but will likely work on the rear suspension before that!

On your lift does it no longer have the ISO mount bushing since it's lifted..? Wondering if that's causing the squeaking metal on metal...? t |

Anyone heard of or used the Egobike brand axle drop lift you can buy on Amazon ? It's like $100 so I am wondering if it's any good or a piece of crap?
