Default Lifting an EZ GO Terrain 250

Greetings All. I had no idea how complicated getting a lift on your cart could be. I am so confused and I know that I will get the best answers here. I have a EZ Go Terrain 250 (electric). I swapped out the all terrain rims and tires to some nice street rims and tires. I would like to lift it (maybe 5-6 inches). What would you guys recommend. I'm not a mechanic, and never lifted anything before, but I'm quick to learn. Thanks guys!!

Also-My first post!!!

Terrain 250 is basically a TXT with a different body. Look at the rear brakes and see if the cables attach at the top or the bottom. On top you can either flip the brakes from right to left to move the cables to the bottom or order a lift made for a workhorse. If on the bottom a standard TXT lift should work. That being said is this a 250 or a 250X ? If it is an X the front is not the same..

Kgsc, thank you! It's a 250 not an X. I will look to see how the cables are configured.

I was also thinking about giving it a more aggressive stance with the lift. Would I need a long travel or could I use spacers. I would assume the spacers would be a little easier on the wallet, but not positive.

Does anyone have thoughts on which would be better?

Long travel has a much better ride but not cheap. Stock drop axle lift is stout and works well. If you want a stance a spindle lift will give you the height and width but will also make your turning radius a half block.

I just ordered a 6" spindle lift from Jake's. What great customer service! I also purchased some spacers. Can't wait to get it finished up! Ill post pictures when I do.
