One way to get more clearance is to use the springs you have but extend the front axle 2 inches with some home made 'adapter plates'. I had some scrap steel on hand that would work so the mod was basically free. The holes obviously have to be drilled accurately or it won't bolt together. The steering geometry still works fine and the cart steers as it should.

I haven't tried it but you could probably extend the axle further than I did. 2" is more than enough tire clearance anyway for most applications.

How do those tires ride? They look like a decent compromise between off-road and on-road tread.

I know this is a couple of months later, but do you rub at all with those? When I looked at the EZGO mi-rise lift, it looked like it wanted to use 20x8x10 tires. Is this because they assume the stock rims which have no offset? I've been eyeing the mid rise lift and 20 inch tires but want to make sure it won't rub.

I have had no tire rub with this setup even with four adults on board. I'm running 8" rims with 5-3 offset.

Ok thanks, I had thought it said 20x10x10. I'm hoping that will work with a 3-4 offset with a 20x10x10, which I think would technically almost fit on a stock EZGO TXT with no lift.

-Texasbass Tires seem to work well. I had hoped for the 22" with a little more sidewall. Mostly used on gravel road and grass / dirt trails so far, ride is about the same as stock tires. Traction has been good.
