Default Re: Where to buy extended shackles?

MCJEFE did your fabricated extended shackles hold up? I'm looking to do the same to my 2011 precedent. I just put in a 1" low pro front lift, so my front should clear 20 inch tires but my newly installed heavy duty dual action springs didn't lift up the rear.

Remove the rear bolt on the springs jack up the back of the cart to your desired height, measure between the holes and start fabricating. I found that on my wife's cart there was 3/8" difference between sides that I was able to compensate for. If they ever slip I'll get them tack welded in place.

Just curious, Chief, why the offset in the left bar in the picture? Since the bushings and sleeve fit inside the original shackle, both extension bars could have been just flat bar (no bends), one on inside and one on outside of stock shackle. BTJMW

Really no particular reason. I considered one inside and one outside, both outside with 1/8" spacers and the bent one...
