This is going to be awesome! New cart owner.
Just purchased a 2007 yamaha g29 gas cart. Not to much has been done to the cart besides lights and a back seat. After camping for a few years at a campground the wife and I got cart envy, so we went and bought one!
I personally have never worked to much on any type of car but after watching a few videos and browsing through some forum posts I think I can handle a lift kit and some bigger tires install. Its really weird how excited I got, not so much the wife, about all the cool things you can add/do to these golf carts. Seriously, a few years ago, before camping, a golf cart would have never even crossed my mind, but after seeing what people do with these carts is simply amazing. Anyway, thanks for reading the post and letting me introduce myself. I am sure you will be seeing questions being posted by me along the way. I do have one quick question, on lift kits, which is the best type to buy? Spindle, a-arm or long travel? I am a little confused on the differences between both. If I am going to modify this cart I would rather just go with the best type instead of the cheapest. Thanks again! |

Welcome to our little corner of the web. Lots of wonderful information here. I have never personally owned a Yamaha, so cannot comment on lift kits and what is best, but I'm sure someone will be along shortly who has. Again, welcome to the addiction!!
