Receiver Step

Looking for a step to use in a receiver hitch to make it easier to get in the rear seat of a long travel lifted Yamaha Drive. Any suggestions recommendations?

Unfortunately that one does not do much to lessen the step up.

Perhaps post a photo the cart in question ... a picture would be helpful to generate some cart specific feedback

I don’t have a photo. I have a G29 on a Jakes LT lift on 23” tires with a GTW seat. I think we are about 24” from the ground to the foot rest. I can only find a 6” drop hitch step. I think I would prefer closer to 8” and I would really like something that retracts. Any other ideas?

You could easily have something made like this and then use a standard folding hitch step that is widely available.

Rooster - thanks. I have already purchased one of those but I doubt like the fact it pushes the step back 6-8”. I don’t like the leverage on the foot rest. Maybe I am overthinking.

You are thinking along the same lines as I am. There is a lot of excess leverage being put on the hitch on all examples I've found.

I bought one of these and I really think it would be great, but the L bracket is much bigger than it appears to me in the picture (also it is not one straight piece, there is a gap in the middle which would give clearance for the hitch and rear grab bar). The L bracket is actually 3" deep so I would have to have someone weld 2"tubing on to the rear footrest since I don't have that expertise.
