Default Yamaha Drive/G29 can't decide on a lift kit

I do a lot of off roading with my cart and used to when I was a kid, but I always used a 6" lift. I am hearing now that they are a bit tippy with the newer ones, but I had no issues with the older models (g16/umax) as a kid. I would prefer 22" or more, but I am worried about it being unstable. Long travel is a bit above my price range. Would 22s fit on a 3" lift if I cut the rockers a tad? Thanks in advance.

I just installed 2 SCG lift kits (1 electric cart and 1 gas cart). The kits were purchased through ebay, however you can buy them direct from steeling golf carts.

They are a 6" kit that accommodates up to 23" tires. I choose this kit strictly due to the fact it retains the functionality of a coil spring suspension and replaces the stock coil spring with a new heavy duty spring. Additionally, you must upgrade the rear springs with heavy duty springs if you intend on adding any rear seating or dump bed.

I will comment on ride quality and handling by this evening. So far the only issue I have noticed is the kit is produced in China, consequently some of the bolt hole tolerances are a little out of wack.

Well, the Yamaha drive with 6" lift easily clears 23" tires, it may even clear 25's😳

The cart handles great and doesn't feel top heavy.

The installation endured a few challenges, incorrect provided bolts and a couple tolerances out of whack. Otherwise, it seems solid.

What lift did you use? I see now. Pics hadn’t downloaded.
