Rear axle flip blocks 2004 ezgo 875
Is there a direct swap kit to put leaf springs on top of axle? Rear end has Rear hydraulic brakes and cable emergency brakes that need to be worked around. Before I have to rig something rough looking up, is there any other kit that would work for me? I've had a hard time finding anything for a lift, probably because it's an industrial cart.

Man most people want the coil overs. Some Ezgo models did come with leaf springs but I don't believe it will be a bolt in mod for your axle. I think you'll have to do some welding. Check the EZGO section. Someone will be able to help you there.

I'd like to find a way to bolt it on, if I ever decide to go back to stock or sell it it would be nice to not have it all hacked up. If I was to do cutting and welding and went with coil overs, what system would I be using to hold the axle in place?

Not familiar with industrial carts but is there a way to leave the springs as is and block the body up off the frame?

There's no way to do that, the seats are in a fixed position and every body panel is individual and mounts to holes in the frame. Basically its a big box frame and panels bolt to it to make it look nice. Not like a normal golf cart where a tub/body sits on top of a frame.

IMO, your pictures answer your question. Your bump stop bracket is right in the way of where the spring would go on a SOA swap.
Your best bet is 1 of 3 things. 1- swap out the shackles for a lift shackle. With the amount of lift you have on the front, it might be a bit much for a shackle lift. 2- Cut the bump stop bracket off, buy the tractor supply trailer spring perches, weld them to axle. 3- take the lift off of the front and call it done. |
