Angry Where did all the deep dish polished wheels go???? Failing to find the right wheels

Hey all, I have been lurking for quite a while and have been absorbing the great information found on this forum. I recently picked up a gas 2000 Club Car Transporter 4/Carryall 6 for family cruises/yard duty and am in the midst of making it more aesthetically pleasing. Naturally, Jakes long arm is in the mail and I am now hunting the right wheel. For the life of me, I cannot find the wheels for the look I want! I have literally spent full days online looking through vendor sites and pictures. Every time I find a wheel that fits the bill, I find that it has been discontinued and not available. I am surprised at how many web site offerings are sooo outdated. Anyway, I am hoping that one of you might have a lead on a wheel I am looking for.

I am going for the deep dish polished wheel old school quad racer/buggy look. Is there an available wheel that has this look in a 2+5 offset or greater?

Here is what I am failing to find
  • Diameter: 12"
Offset: 2+5 or 2+6 even better
    Material: Polished or Machined.

I am not a fan of wheels that are black or have black in them. Chrome is a bit too bright IMO and can be a nightmare if the plating starts pitting/flaking. It seems the market is flooded with big, modern, 2 tone or black wheels that look best on the newer body style carts IMO. The old CC DS is like an old 80s F350. Classic style wheels, maybe with a touch of modern detail, look best on the classic style vehicle IMO. I'm definitely not a "Keep it stock" type of guy, but definitely a "Keep it classy" type.

Inspirational photos.

This is the overall look regarding stance, offset, deep disn, etc.

These are my ultimate wheels. I was so excited to find them for sale and then so sad to find that the listing was old and they were not available. Vision Outback 2+6. They have the deepest dish of any I have seen

I REALLY like these Madjax Jaguar wheels 2+5, but they no longer exist

I could work with these if I had to but cant find them

I ordered these, but the vendor called me to tell me that they are NLA (Buckshot 2+5)

I like these, but I think they are an old ITP wheel that is NLA

Here is the STI HD1 wheel. Not sure what offset is in the pic, but they offered it in the 2+5 for golf carts. It is NLA. Bet it would look sweet in a 2+5 offset.

Is there a wheel that has this look in a 2+5 offset or greater?

Use wheel spacers to get the stance right.

Superpro, thanks for the link and advice. I believe the lightside wheel has a 3+4 offset. I am looking for the larger offset to get a deep looking barrel or dish on the wheel, less so for the stance. The long arm lift in the front and 3" spacers on the rear will push the wheels out plenty. I just really like that deep shiny lip on the wheel. That deep barrel reminds me of the racing quads from back in my day, and gives a cart a MUCH more aggressive look.

You are on the right track, the Lightside wheel is on my top 5 list of wheels I like with less than ideal offset/back spacing.

Douglas wheel offers a few polished aluminum wheels for golf carts but I’m not sure if they have the sizes you’re looking for. Might call them and ask if they can make some!

Getting tired of searching for a unicorn. Leaning strongly towards the "Tremor" wheels at the moment. Should compliment the "utility" of the carryall quite well. Any reviews of the Fox Trail DOT 22" tires? I like the squareness and looks. Most my riding is on pavement, with occasional good weather exploring. I have no interest in going through mud. Either those or the All Trail style 23s which are much more round.

I have used the All Trails on two builds. Good tires for all around cruising, good on pavement too. They will wear out quickly if you put a lot of pavement miles on them though, but most All Terrain tires will do that.

I like the wheels too!

ITP still list the SS112 in a 12" with a 2+5 offset in chrome. The chrome would hold up for many years on a golf cart. They also have the machined, but they have black in them too.

https://www.itptires.com/products/pr...ail/ss112-golf

The ss212 are available in both finishes too and are 2+5. The picture they show on the website is not how they actually look. They have a nice deep look.

I'm running ITP Hurricanes on mine that are 2+5 and love the stance.

I have old douglas wheels they are 3+5, they are called kart wheels. However iirc some polaris rear wheels for atv are 4/4 pattern and fit carts just fine...if they are size you want. In some old post here a guy from HI had a cart with huge wide wheels, douglas or similar, with a huge lift it looked insane.

Call Golf Cart Supply and ask for Spencer. He is great help and may be able to find at least the 2-5 you are looking for.
