Default $390 DIY big brake kit insanely powerful!

2001 Mazda miata calipers $50
2005 Honda civic rotors $65
AP racing CP6465 master $99
AP racing CP line kit used $15
Jegs braided lines an fittings $100
Custom caliper mounts $60

This combo locks up 30.5in tires and will stop the cart in about 15 feet. The braking force was so high it through the alignment off. It was off so badly I had to limp home at about 5mph. I thought I bent the a-arms beyond correcting... I'll be installing a propotional valve to limit the applied pressure.

The pictures appear to be broken... What size wheels are you running?

Doesn't effect acceleration at all?

Lol, I'm running 66v lithium and 600amp controller. It still makes 20mph in under 3 seconds. If it's a little bit damp itll spin the tires. For a stock cart I'm sure it would hinder the performance.

Do you have any pics of how the rotors are installed? Do they bolt on? What mods did you have to make to get them to fit?

I had custom brackets made that I welded to the spindles. These brackets will only work with the Jake's long travel lift kit.

I had a similar situation. I wanted to use my Jake's disc brakes when I installed my AllSport 4" lift. Jake's or AllSport were no help with telling me how to accomplish this. I had to take my old spindles with the caliper holders installed to a machine shop. They cut the caliper holders off and re installed them on the AllSport spindles. Works great my cost $120.
