From a bit of reading I've done-

Cons
Unsprung weight is increased = ride quality negatively impacted
Motors are mounted low and will be subjected to mud/water/ other debris.
Rpm limitations(check motor specs 5500-6000rpms is about the max for off the shelf DC golfcart motors)

Pros
Easy install
Massive torque

Thanks. I haven’t found any information on the reliability/life span. Neither can I find many articles and reviews since 2013.

What Jkerle posted, is all that I could find. I was looking into these last year.

I currently don't need "4wd", so I have not continued to look into it. Hopefully sometime next year I may need it, so will be looking into it again.

Like you, I could not find information on reliability and longevity. Makes me nervous to spend that kind of coin...

Allsports is slowly making parts to support the silver wolf conversions. I would think with lithium quickly taking over multiple motor mods are going to be the future. The extended range and weight loss from the lithium will make these 4wd kits alot more practical! Navitas already has controllers that will link together to controll 2 motors. Pretty cool stuff!

That’s awesome! I think replacing the rear axle with Silverwolf motors would reduce weight as well, at the expense of speed. But with increased ground clearance, more range, more torque, you could have an ideal terrain buggy.
