Torque loss with 25 tires?
Club car ds series cart. 500 amp alltrax 400 amp solenoid, plum quick torque motor and 2 awg wires. I currently have 22 tires and theyre pretty close to needing changing. Ive heard folks say to not go higher than 22 due to torque loss. Can anyone report on the performance of 25 tires with similar upgrades?

Re: Torque loss with 25 tires?
I had a similar setup... club car DS, series, 6" lift, 48v. 400A alltrax, HD FNR, admiral mot A4 motor, wiring, etc. I switched back and forth between 22x10x10 on all 4 wheels, and 25x8x12 front and 25x10x12 rear. I couldn't notice any torque difference. I did gain a few mph with the 25's and the cart would still spin the 25's on dirt and asphalt. In grass they would just grab and nearly(but not quite) lift the front tires off the ground.
Heres a pic of the 22's on steel wheels and 25's on alloy wheels |

Re: Torque loss with 25 tires?
I ran a Alltrax XCT48500 with a A-4 with 28 tires on a Club Car Precedent limo. It ran great at the beach with little hills. On my cart Im building now I have the same controller but with a FSIP torque motor with 30 tires on this cart.
