Default 2 stroker 244

Will an old '81 2 stroker do ok with a lift and 22's?
It'll fly if it will. Maybe gear it down?
Opinions?

i have a 82 with 4 inch lift and 22's, it was ok but it had problems going up hills and loading it on my truck to take to the track. i put a 44 inch belt on it and now it moves how it did when it was stock height and stock tires, the smaller belt helped alot it picks up its speed quick. if you do flat ground no big hills it will be ok but if you wanna go up a hill put a smaller belt on it or a 28 degree clutch.

Hey 42hut,
I have an 88 ez gas with the 2 stroke, I ended up with 23" tires after an 11 inch lift and the motor seems fine. Up ramps into my trailer is no biggy. I bet I can get it nearly 30mph. It's fun passing the new machines at the camp grounds.
I have a small engine guy who tells me the smaller belt will help. He also says something about the slow jet.
I will have him work his magic soon and report my results.

i use mine to pull a 16ft car trailer around my yard when it's not at the track with the race car, so the smaller belt helped me alot, before i changed the belt i wanted to see if my cart could pull my totaled grand cherokee out of my back yard and it wasn't able to move it, once i put the smaller belt on it pulled my jeep like it wasnt behind it.

i must say the belt that was on my cart was about a 48inch belt, it was so lose i just crabed the belt and it fall off the clutches, it took 6 seconds if that to take the old belt off my cart. this is just to give you an idea of how loose my orginal belt was compared to the new smaller belt.

Hey 42hut, check e-bay under "golf cart rear seat" and you will see a nice aluminum(light) seat offered by a company in Wisconsin for $219 delivered. Choice of a few common colors. I plan to get one as soon as budget(wife) allows.
No frame work or foot platform included but that is easy to figure out.
Otherwise, I'm sure you have discovered, most seat assemblies start at $300+ shipping!
Cheapest I've seen is $375 delivered. But that includes foot frame, fold down options, etc.
I have a crappy home made steel(heavy) seat with a single tube foot step made from an old nerf bar taken off a pick-up.
It's from an extra cab so the foot pads are close together.
Yes I will enter pics soon. I hope to do that this mem weekend.
Other than that, check out auto salvage yards for bus seats. I found a yard with seats for $50each. The only thing with this option is the vinyl is often dark green. Might cost another $100 to have it recovered.
