What are you dissapointed about? Lack of speed?

yeah my thigh. hahahaha no i just didnt really notice any change in performance after the drive clutch spring install. i thought i would. i have this little embankment in my yard and when i stop on it i cant pull it. the cart just sits there and the motor dosnt rev. its obviously in a bind, but i thought i would be able to pull it after i put in my springs. oh well its not that big a deal. i just wont park on that hill i guess.

Did you try to climb the embankment before you installed the springs?

Long ago, (before I knew better) I bought a torque kit from BU. It by-passes the foot pedal on/off, so the cart would idle and give more torque on take off. A heavier spring is provided for drive clutch. The key switch becomes the ignition on/off switch. Basically a spring and a jumper.
First, I couldn't get my cart to idle, so the by-pass would just keep the starter turning.
Second, the spring caused over-rev on take-off before it would engage.
It sounded fast but wouldn't move until the heavy spring engaged. It basically sucked.
I got a credit from my return.
The spring may be good for an application where you want a hi stall speed rpm. Like a drag cart! The real answer for me was the rear clutch. 28 deg. It does a good job.
Just FYI. hope this prevents someone..........
