The driver side rear of my cart sits lower than the passanger side??? It was that way before I put the lift on I just thought that the lift would fix it. Any thoughts???

Re: Cart lower on one side HELP
Switch springs from side to side. Eventually, it'll be level.
Alternatively, here's a post from another forum I frequent describing how to 'reverse' the eye of a transverse leaf spring on a hot rod: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=225377 This is obviously not the problem we're dealing with but it does show how springs can be bent using tools we all have hanging out in our garages. Or maybe not. But maybe your neighbor does. Etc. Best -- Gary Real joy comes not from ease or riches or from the praise of men, but from doing something worthwhile. -- Sir Wilfred Grenfell |

Re: Cart lower on one side HELP
i would have to think it would be the spring too but then that doesnt explain why the front is still leaning if you just replaced the front end...

Re: Cart lower on one side HELP
Good point but I was guessing the lift kit was all rigid pieces and used the original springs. Guess we need the OP to chime in, here.
Cheers -- Gary I have yet to see any problem, however complicated, which, when you looked at it in the right way, did not become still more complicated. -- Paul Anderson |

Re: Cart lower on one side HELP
The springs are sacked out on that SIDE. A lift won't fix a spring. Buy new springs or have them re-arched. You can swap them side to side.....but that doesn't fix the problem.

Re: Cart lower on one side HELP
Judging from that last pic it looks like the driver side rear spring is shot, (looking at the end of the springs in relationship to the axle tubes) it may take awhile to even that up just swapping springs. maybe replacement is the way to go. very common problem with course carts, a driver and clubs always piled on one side of the cart for several years will take its toll

Re: Cart lower on one side HELP
If you'll be hauling anything or have passengers, replace them with some heavy duty springs.

Re: Cart lower on one side HELP
You could possibly use longer shackles in rear on that side? I have leveled several Club Cars this way. I made mine out of 1/4" steel flat stock and drilled a series of holes and then installed by moving longer until proper holes leveled cart.
