Lifted cart with stock motor
I have just bought a 95 club car 48v. My plans are to use it at my farm. There are some hills but nothing too major. Mostly want it to take kids to lake and scout for deer out of. I want to put a jakes 6 inch lift with22x10x10 tires and a rear seat. If I upgrade cables on cart should the stock motor be able to handle it.

Re: Lifted cart with stock motor
Tex,
You should have no problems with the CC, Ran a 36 volt Ezgo for a couple of years with 22X10X8 and a stock motor with NO problems. |

Re: Lifted cart with stock motor
I have always wanted to take one of those 48v series carts and simply put a 36v motor in it ......

Re: Lifted cart with stock motor
We have used a 97 36V CC with lift and rear rack/seat for a few years without any trouble. It has stock motor and resistors. Definately not a speed demon up the hills, but it gets the job done.

Re: Lifted cart with stock motor
We have a pretty hilly golfcourse and the stock 36V ez go's handle anything out there. Those electric motors just keep on crawlin up those hills. Lots of torque. 48v? no problem.

Re: Lifted cart with stock motor
Native Texan I would go for it, that lift and tires should be a good set up. Yes I would add 4 guage wiring and do a HD repair on F&R switch. By the way what model do you have? In 1995-1996 there was many different control setups? There are the Powerdrive with an V Glide speed control, also with continuously variable potentiometer, and Power Plus with rocker switch F&R beside leg and additional solenoid and resistor for a kind of brake-recharge system?
JDOWN1 You are not the only one up at 5AM? With my pain level on high I sleep a few hours at a time and this AM it was 3AM? |

Re: Lifted cart with stock motor
The model is a power plus with regen. It has rocker switch beside leg. I have the other post about charging issue that I am still trying to work out. Why is a repair needed on F/R switch? thanks
