So I got to looking at these arms. HESER your right. When compressed the camber is way to positive. So after some research I stumbled accross the fix. I need to shorten the upper arm. These arms were given to me and i wasnt real happy with the appearance of the welds so this will give me the chance to clean things up a bit.

Here is a link to a site that has a lot of great info when it comes to building a front end.http://www.cousesteel.com/AndysPlace/Buggy3.html

So the last couple of days I've been doing some designing for the new long travel control arms that will need to be built. I wanted to get this right so I invested in a new state-of-the-art application that would assist me in this project. SEE SCREENSHOT BELOW

This is called GARAGEFLOOR-X2009. I reccomend it highly!

After my brainstorming was completed on the above app. I made a quick plan view image of what I wanted for the lower A arm. Then using only the latest in tool technology (Angle grinder, sawsall, arc welder) I started to fab the first arm. This is what I came up with.

Only took about an hour and 3 beers. I tell you what, the welds really smooth out after the second beer
I will finish the other lower arm tomorrow then start the uppers.

Will continue to post progress as time and $$$$ allows!
