Default Lifting a PDS Golf Cart

I have been told to NOT lift a 2005 EZ GO Electric PDS cart. The reason was it would burn up the controller or motor. Does anyone have any stories (good or bad) regarding installing oversized tires and a lift kit for a PDS type cart. Also, the area that I live in has very steep hills.

Lots of folks lift them. I've never heard any bad things... You may have to upgrade motor/controller because of the hills. Depends on the weight you are hauling and the amount of speed you expect going up hills.

PDS carts are great because they take "performance chips" you can get the yellow 'hill chip'

dont waste your time on the yellow chip. buy an Alltrax controller and wake that motor up... you can even make it 48 volt if you would like them it would climb anything and run 32mph on the flats
