Tire Decision Advise
Hi, I have a stock 2005 E Z Go St Sport 2+2 that I would like to upgrade the tires and rims on. The stock tire and rim combo is 20X10X10 turf savers on steel rims. I would like to upgrade to 12"x 7" itp interceptors 7 spoke rims.
The tire decision is a little tougher, I've read alot of threads on different tires, I think 23x10x12 would be a good all around size. I like the dirt devils, but they do not come in 23" for a 12" rim. So I was looking at the swamp fox tires that are similar to the dirt devils, and the Carlisle All Trails and AT489's. I will be driving mostly on hard packed Dirt/Gravel and some sand when I take the cart camping. I want a tires that do not look like ballons. Just wide enough but with a tall stance. Any advise would be great. Thanks |

Re: Tire Decision Advise
I went with the Swamp Fox tires a year ago and I have no regrets. They are a great tire. I drive on gravel roads and in the dirt and mud and they have always done great. They look good too!

Re: Tire Decision Advise
I would recommend the swamp fox tires. We have built many custom carts with those tires. Some of our customers are driving theirs on the same terrain as your and they love them. Check out our tires and wheels

I do not recommend the swamp fox for pavement, too loud and rough ride. I would recommend the sahara classic all-terrain tires. They are great on pavement and offroad, quiet ride, smooth.

Re: Tire Decision Advise
3R, Thanks for the advise, I checked out your site, Swamp Fox sounds like the way to go, Would you recommend 23x8x12 or 23x10x12 for my set up on the ST Sport. I don't want the tires to look cubes or too blocky, a good proportion of height and width.

Re: Tire Decision Advise
They work fine for me. I don't really notice much noise but I'm usually not in a big hurry. If you are going 20-25+mph there will be some noise but it's not untollerable. .02c worth...
