Default Lug Extenders

Ran into my first problem with these this morning, they worked loose in about 6 months on my neighbors 04 cc ds. Running 3x5 offset steel wheels. Thay worked the studs loose in the hubs, drivers side much worse then the other. This is a cut frame lift. The cart is off road most of the time on his property and he is over 300 lbs. I ran a set for years on one of my carts and never had this problem. The rears seem to be tight. Time for All Sports solid spacers i think.

I have to agree. When I first saw those lug extenders, I was thinking to myself "are ya kidding me?!?!" Can you imagine all the pressure and leverage on the poor little studs at the hub, they have no choice but to loosen and damage the hub. At least with the solid spacers, you are mounting a solid spacer right to the flange and then the wheel to the "large" face of the spacer, way way better design, not even close to the amount of pressure leverage on the studs at the hub. Just my thoughts

Good point. The stud type are fine for mild use, but not a very good idea for off-road... ( I'm sure I'll take a beatin' for that last coment)...

1/38 lug spacers 3/5 offset wheels and 300 lbs. + look out they will not take it from what i have just seen. I bought 1 in. spacers from CPP and then sold the lug extenders to my neighbor, hope he don't read this, he will want his money back.

I tried a poly or plastic spacer first but the lugs loosened every week driving the cart very little just around the pits and home. Was always nervous about the spacers anyway. Put them on for temp use till I could afford aluminum type. I now have the aluminum block style and feel much more secure. Worth the $90.
