Default Finally, a limo...

I have FINALLY found a limo cart project. Hopefully the deal doesn't fall through since it's not happening for another week. I found an EZ Go limo with the engine and suspension from a quad already installed, and am going to trade my 4x4 quad for it. It is still a project, since it needs the front seat cowl and other parts mounted up yet, but the driveline is basically done and operational, with a racing fuel cell installed (but not used yet). Full hard top (probably getting replaced with a full cage though).

Man I hope this deal goes through. I have been waiting for a long time. I need this to lug the family around my property in the mountains (65 acres of mine, and 1000's of acres of BLM and State playground). Should be fun!

I'll probably end up ripping it apart and redoing the front suspension, to make it longer travel, and maybe extend the rear a bit as well, but it depends on how it all looks when I get it home.

I will, definitely. The minute it becomes mine I'll take a whole bunch of pictures of everything, and get them uploaded for you.

Thanks everyone. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hoping it happens, but the way my luck usually goes, it probably won't. You never know, this might be my lucky one.

Thanks, I sure hope so too. I found another ezgo limo, with long travel a-arm front suspension, but it has a CAR engine in it (a 2.3l from a ford tempo), and is not near completion yet (lots of wiring, etc. for the engine, and not sure if the engine is fully mounted and mated), for $1500 or so. That one is TEMPTING as well, if the other falls through, but I don't really want to mess with the car engine setup if I can help it. Just the cart with the long travel front setup would be a great starting point though.

In the meantime I'm going to keep searching, in case the first one falls through. That way I don't have all my eggs in one basket, and who knows, maybe if I have other prospects it will make the first one actually fall into place properly. All I know is I'm excited about it!

Here are the few pics of the other limo project that were listed in the ad I found. Not much to see unfortunately, but I have requested more pictures and information from the seller. Hopefully he gets back to me with more information soon. It could be a "second" limo that I might have to acquire, if for nothing other than the main chassis and long travel front suspension. I can always rebuild the rear half and put my 600cc Kawasaki motor in it if the 2.3l can't be made to work easily, or just get a 16hp harbor freight motor and a stock rearend and mount it all back up.

Isn't this an electric rear end assembly?
