Default Homemade G14 lift

I am attempting to build my own lift. Why? Just want to see if i can do it. If not, Jake's is only a click away!! I was just wondering, how far forward I should move the front axle to fit bigger tires? I was thinking 2". Too much? Not enough? I will post some before and after pics when I get started!!

Try not to go more than 1" forward. The more ya go forward, the harder it is to get the steering geometry correct using the stock steering components.

Will 1" be enough for 22s? I guess it will be better than none. You seem like you have built one before...

If your a little crafty you can save alot of money by fabricating stuff instead of buying it. I know I did.

1" forward, 5-6" up and 1" wider per side will clear 22's.

If you go more than an inch forward, you will have ta be pretty crafty to get the wheels to turn very sharp or hold any kind of alignment. If you move the column assy. forward, then the skys the limit.

I already had this idea in my head and then stumbled on his pic. I hope mine turns out as well. You know what they say...big bubbles, no troubles! I got my pieces cut today. I m going to put them together when I get a chance. Doing it in my spare time at work. just wasn't sure about how much I need to set the axle forward if any at all.

Thanks for everyones help!!!
