Stock tires?
How do you guys get rid of your stock tires after you did a lift and new wheels. I see the for sales section but how the heck do you figure out shipping cost? Do you have to go up there and have them weigh it? then you dont know where its going till its sold....Any help would be great, I need to get them out of the garage.
They are in good shape, off an '06 with new hub-caps, guess I could sell them |

Re: Stock tires?
Not a whole lot of people need the stock stuff. Sometimes someone will replace the wheels if they are rusted or bent rather than restoring them. Try the for sale section.
Put one on a bathroom scale, add a pound or two for the box. You can get an idea what shipping would cost on the ups website. I would find the zip for the farthest point you may ship to and get an estimated price. That will give you an idea what that would cost. We've had people give them to the Golf Course just to be rid of them. |

Re: Stock tires?
I have done so yet, but when I get the lift on ours I am going to make a BBQ trailer and use the stock tires for that.
I will put a BBQ and a cooler chest and a place for some fold up chairs. So when we go out we can pull the trailer instead of having to carry all that crap in the buggy. |

Re: Stock tires?
THere are a lot of carts around here and gd used tires go for $10 each ... new ones are $40. Don't sell and ship the shipping is more than the tire is worth
PS..... they are not road worthy for that BBQ trailer |

I am talking about around the community we live in. We have several large lakes that are in our community here. I think it would also be OK for around camp grounds. I suppose I should have made myself a little more clear on that. The golf cart itself, even with the new tires would not be DOT rated either. I am just talking about pulling the "little" trailer around behind the cart. |

Re: Stock tires?
Most people know I just didn't want anyone trying to trailer across country on them like Ess & Gorno did

Re: Stock tires?
Yea, I should have made that more clear. I forget sometimes hillbillies want to drive their lawn mowers around town. There is a whole series on this clown: BTW: It's NOT ME OK! |
