LED lights
I'm adding some lights to cart and bought some LED's at ADvance Auto and would like to find out the light output. They are marked as driving lights, showing extended lighting beyound stock lights.
I only will use these for putting around at night, thought they would have Minimal battery draw. Anybody else yous'd (sl)them. I also bought some 100w spot lights to really light up the fields when I'm driving back to the truck in the evening. |

Re: LED lights
Can you post the manufacturer of the light with a little info so I may be able to look up someone that may carry that light. I dont have an Advanced Auto around where I live but have been looking for an LED set up for driving lights for my hunting buggy.

Re: LED lights
The Advance Auto LED's are made in China for a company called Optronics, in Muskogee, Ok. I bought the model LS-110. Described as "Pro Burners Series" blue led driving lights for off road or show use only. The lights have 12 LEDs. Approx 6-7 long, 1 inch tall and 1 1/2 inch depth. Comes with mounts, wiring, and lighted switch. $19.95 for two lights.

Re: LED lights
Well, what's the verdict? Do they shine pretty good? Enquiring minds want to know.

Re: LED lights
They are not as bright as I was hoped, but they do light up the street enough to stay on the road..So I may put another set under the front bumper.

Re: LED lights
I hooked my LED's temporarily, and they don't "throw" out enough light for off road driving, but fine for short road trips. They look cool at night.

Re: LED lights
Anyone try hooking the 12V type led's up to two 8V batteries...and using 16V. Do they just get real bright, no difference, or just go "pop". Im asking in reference to undercart light bars with the LED's that attatch to the ends of the plastic rods, jus' asking.

Re: LED lights
I too am looking for "KC" lights for the top of my Ruff and Tuff. I would like to use 4 on the front, 2 on the back. they will be on for a min amount of time so i am not too worried about the battery draw. has anyone used one that works better than the other?
