Lifted Cart Storage
I was all excited about getting a 6in. lift kit for my 04 Ezgo TXT until I looked at the height of my garage door. With the canope the height of a lifted cart with tires is about 83in, my garage door opening is about 79in.
I was wondering how everyone with a lifted cart stores them. Are most stored in sheds or shops with higher door openings? |

Re: Lifted Cart Storage
Unless you have a really high top on that cart it shouldn't be 83". I have an 8" lift with 27" tires and with the top it's about 78".
My last cart had a 5" lift with 22's and that sat at about 70", that only added 7" total to the cart. |

Re: Lifted Cart Storage
If the cart is too tall you could let the air out of the tires to get it in the garage and then pump them back up.

Re: Lifted Cart Storage
Neighbor was able to adjust door up an inch and then shortened the roof supports 2". Still had plenty of head room getting in and out of the cart (guess that depends on your height).

Re: Lifted Cart Storage
This is what i had to do to get in and out of the garage.... Cheap easy way to make clearance if you know or can do the work yourself... I don't know how other people did it but i cut a couple inches off the bottom of rear roof posts and cut section out of front roof posts and ran a rod inside the support and welded back together.....

Re: Lifted Cart Storage
I think my cart had the front of the roof lowered probably for this reason. Cart barely fits in standard garage door. Only have 5" lift though.
I think you can see the tilted roof in my sig picture. |

Re: Lifted Cart Storage
Mine just barely fits in...have to push the garage open just a tad extra to get no rub, otherwise its a small rub just at the back of the roof...

Re: Lifted Cart Storage
I had the same problem getting mine in with a 6" lift and 23" tires, if you have an opener on the door, there is a limit switch you can adjust on the opener to make it go up more. Solved my problem...
