22" Tires on 3" lift - 96 EZGO

Hoping someone here could give me some comfort on a purchase.

Just bought 22 x 11 x 10's (DOT street treads) on 14 spoke aluminum 3+4 offset wheels from Golf Cart Tire Store with their 3" drop axle lift for a stretched '96 six passenger ezgo.

The web site and sales person both indicate this will work, but the wheels and tires are here and look pretty big. The lift kit is still on its way.

Anyone know if these will work for sure on a 3" lift, or do I need to cancel the lift kit and get a 4" or 5" kit?

Not 100% sure but from reading some other threads, I think you'll be fine. That's taking into account the 22" tires and 3" of lift. I have no idea about the offset.

What do the sellers say? Seems they shouldn't sell tires that are not right for the lift?

I did ask the seller, but got the feeling the person I talked to (although very nice) was just reading from the web-site, and since almost everyone talks about 4 or 5 inch lifts, I was just hoping someone here had "been there, done that" with 3 inch lift and 22 inch tires.

I hear ya - for what it's worth I'm currently installing the windshield, dash, mirror and wheel I got last week from Everything Carts, my clutch was sent to Cart Parts Plus yesterday for machining and the power kit (and I'm probably gonna order a new belt from Tom too), and I've got MMT and 3R saved in my favorites for new seats in the spring (and other shopping).

I just had trouble finding 22" DOT approved, smooth street tire/wheel combos.

Also, would like to give a shout out to whoever the really nice lady answering the phone at CPP is - super friendly and very helpful. And, Everything Carts - super fast shipping, really happy with all the pieces.

3" worked on a cart I had in here with 22 carisles. It would hit if you turned the wheel to the left and hit the brake peddle down. It would actually tag the metal piece that comes off the brake pedal as you pushed it down. Nothing bad though.

FYI. 22x11x10 will fit on E-Z-Go's with our 3" spindle lift kit. One problem out there is finding tires that are in spec.
