Default Too much tire for this rim size?

I just installed an 8" A arm lift on a CC and want to put on 26x12x12 all trail tires on a 12x7 rim. Is that rim is too narrow at 7" and cause the tire to crown or stress the bead? I could get 12x8 rims if needed but not sure if that would make much of a difference and limits my choices.
Thanks

I got a set of 27x12x10 super swampers on my 10x7 inch rims. Should be fine.

I think it depends on the tires. I rode a cart with cheap knobbies of some kind on stock 7" wide and it was a death trap. They were 22s on 8" wheels and felt like the tire was going to roll off the rim, really sloppy and bouncy. Mine are 8" wide x8 with ATV rated tires and completely the opposite, but I know part of it is the ATV rated tire is much stiffer sidewall than those cheap 1ply he had, plus these rims have 1" more offset makes the cart more stable. On top of that the wider rim helps, his sidewalls were going in to the rim and it made the tire very round at the tread instead of more flat to the ground. I could rail corners hard and he was lifting tires all the time.

You'll be fine with those tires and wheels. I often run 25/26 x 12.50 on 12 x 7 wheels and they work nice. The narrow rims push your tires taller though so make sure you gots the rubbing room.
