I like the Jakes 6" for my G1 ,but my neighbor has an EZGO and he put an Allsports 6" on his and it was a simple install.It looks really good!

what is the difference between an axel lift and a spindle lift which is better, cheaper and would work best on my cart

An axle lift, lifts the axle but has less ground clearance than a spindle lift. The spindle lift just drops the tires down thus lifts the cart, it is a cleaner look than the axle lift. The drop axle is stronger because on the spindle lift you use your stock axle which could break during hard off-roading (but usually won't happen ) but when you use a drop axle you replace your old axle with a stronger one.

I personally dislike spindle lifts on the 2001.5 + EZGO's because their axles are stamped and are not boxed tubing. For me it looks way to weak and flimsy to trust all that leverage a spindle lift puts on a stock axle.
