Extended Tie Rod "Tubes"
Hi all!!
I just purchased a Yamaha G9 cart (Gas) with a lift. I am having a great time re-finishing the cart and look forward to the day my family and I can buzz around on the property. I have one problem with this cart...it seems as though I cannot align the steering, the tie rod tubes are too short. I assume this is due to the lift. Is there a place I can purchase extended tie rod tubes? Help would be greatly appreciated!! Opi |

I went to a machine shop and had them turm me some out. Extended my rack steering by almost 4 inches when screwed out.

Re: Extended Tie Rod "Tubes"
Call the guys at radical golf cart (in the site sponsors). They did have some longer ones, don't know if they still do. On the Yamaha you will have to drill out the tie rod connector a little bit, the new bolts are slightly larger.

Re: Extended Tie Rod "Tubes"
If you can weld, cut the tie rods in half, slide the 2 halves into some steel tubing (snug fit) to the length you need and weld them back together.
