Lifting EZGO workhorse front end
I have an ST 350 that I want to lift a couple of inches. Has any one tried to do a spring over on the front end? I have figured out how to secure with some 1/2 galvanized pipe and long grade 8 bolts. My concern is the steering linkages hitting the leaf springs.
I figured if anyone has ever tried it, someone from this forum would know! |

Re: Lifting EZGO workhorse front end
Thanks, I have shopped your site along with the other sponsors. I will probably go the drop axle route.
Do the leveling kits move the spring over the beam? Until I do I wanted to do the research on a spring over,. So I went to the only place I knew someone had tried before me. BGW! The springs are still my concern after sitting in the garage and staring at it. Looks like the steering rods will interfere with the springs. |

Re: Lifting EZGO workhorse front end
no you have the good spindles with the riser built in them factroy
you can cut the bottom 3 bolt tabs and weld them on the top of the beam.. to save on some $$$ |

Re: Lifting EZGO workhorse front end
Our $75.00 leveling kit is EXACTLY what you need. Don't toss your Factory axle for a import version with the tabs on the top...
Sorry Randy - Not intending to step on anyone's toes here, but this is the reason I developed the leveling kit over 6 years ago... |

Re: Lifting EZGO workhorse front end
I think you two are telling me that with the proper hardware the axle can be placed under the springs and there is no interferance with the steering. ?????

Re: Lifting EZGO workhorse front end
As I expected, the steering rods hit the springs. I have looked carefully at lift photo's and found that the spring over beam is fairly common. The only thing I can figure is my ride has weak springs allowing more up travel than it should.

Re: Lifting EZGO workhorse front end
How about adding 2" blocks between the rear of the springs and frame with longer grade 8 bolts.
Keeps the springs under the axle. |
