ATV IFS under the marathon!
It isnt finished yet, I still need to add some gusseting and the wheel adapters are being drilled for the correct pattern. The front suspension still needs paint too. Then I have to get the thing leveled out.
This is what I have so far. Its a yamaha blaster front suspension and front frame section. I am too lazy to make things bolt in, the welder is much easier. I guess it is a little crude, but much cheaper than a prefab kit. Sorry for the spots on the pics, my camera was fogging up. I'll get more pics when I get the right wheels on it. |

Cool idea. I looked thru your old posts & it appears you've been doing your homework for this upgrade for a while. Any idea how much you will have invested in the mod when you are done? Look forward to hearing how it drives now.
Hey Roady, I see you had an old thread selling an old ATV suspension for a mod like this. Did it get picked up? The new owner made the move yet? |

Re: ATV IFS under the marathon!
Heres some pics with the wheels on it now. Sorry again for the terrible pics, I'll try and get some in the daylight sometime soon.
The front panel I think is from stretch plastics, but not sure...it was on it when I got it. As far as price, I have an uncle that is a machinist so the adapters were free I bought a complete yamaha blaster minus engine for $75 and just cut and welded stuff. |
