Jakes Disk Brakes
Hey.
I know that ive been asking a bunch of questions lately but i got just one more Ive got the creative juices flowin again and got the urge to build a stretch LT ezgo.. And i would like to use jakes front disk brake kit for non-lifted carts (because they come with new spindles) and was wondering if the hydraulic lines would be long enough to use for the LT suspension. My gut feeling is NO. but i thought i would ask and see if anyone has any experience with the jakes kit. Or can measure the length of the hydraulic lines.. and or/ are the lines proprietary to the jakes kit, and i wont beable to order longer lines form a specialty auto parts store. to me the lines look like any other type of UTV ATV style braided line and master cylinder, but you know.. just incase Any help is always appreicated |

Re: Jakes Disk Brakes
Jake's sells a LT with brakes. We recently sent one to SMASHER for his LT Raptor build...

Re: Jakes Disk Brakes
The Kit fits awesome and was a very well planned, and simple install.
1. As for spindles, I have the long travel kit and brakes, so it came with the new spindles. 2. As far as the lines, they are a very common and easily replaced set. They are the same brake lines that are used on sport bikes. 3. My review, a very good choice for the money. |

Re: Jakes Disk Brakes
See im eyin the 7253 kit which says its for st turf carts with old style steering .. it says for both lifted and non lifted carts.. so im hoping that this kit has longer lines as well as come with the jakes spindles that are like the ST style wich would work better on the stretch kit with an additional lift.
you know what ill give jakes a call and see what they suggest.. then ill post back. |

Re: Jakes Disk Brakes
That kit you posted - 7253 - is ONLY the brakes for a Factory lifted ST vehicle. It will also work with any old style steering EZGO with either aftermarket or Factory drop axle. What's different about it iver others are the riser spindles. This is NOT the brake kit you order or get with the LT kits...
See - you don't have to wait til Monday to know now |
