Which Cart to buy?
I'm looking to buy an old cart and lift it 7-8" with long travel.
This will be used on the washington coast, Where it rains alot. Never on pavement. Are any of the big three (ezgo, club car and yamaha) better in moist conditions? I mean corrosion resistant. I've noticed that prices vary a lot between brands of lift kits. What brand and year would you buy to lift and drive off road? Also looking to weld the rear or get a locker. |

Re: Which Cart to buy?
From what I have read and the responses I got when I asked that question: you can't go wrong with one of the big 3. One brand will be more plentiful therefore lowering the price. One will have more after market parts. One will be easier to lift. The bottom line is find a good cart for a fair price and go.
The Club Car is aluminum framed so there is no rust but most handymen can't weld aluminum. Choose your poison!. |

Re: Which Cart to buy?
Will an ST front cowl fit on a 95 - 00 EZGo?
What bolt on front a-arm suspension kits have good travel? Stretch seems to be very popular. Hows the travel on this cart? Also, doesn't aluminum still rust, just different? Maybe not as quickly? I know we still get corrosion on our boats & SkySkis. |

Re: Which Cart to buy?
ive seen aluminum boats tarnish on the outside. never heard of them corroding all the way through.
is the club car lighter than EZ-GO cause of the alluminum frame? |

Re: Which Cart to buy?
yes the alum framed cc would be lighter i would think, and alum will tarnish a bit on the surface but no strength comprimises.

Re: Which Cart to buy?
The older Club Cars have aluminum trim, including the roof supports and here in Michigan most I see are oxidized and pitted.
