tire size
I currently have a yamaha g2 with a 400 cc skidoo engine. I currently have 8 inch rims with 22 inch tires want to upgrade to 12 inch rims and 26-27 inch offroad tires I have the clearance so that's not a problem just wondering how much power the bigger tires and rims will rob me

Re: tire size
well those are big tires but i would assume that 400cc is making 40hp or so? so you should be ok but there will be a difference in your hill climbing and accelleration, but better top speed. so its whats important to you.

Re: tire size
You will have plenty of power for those larger wheels and tires. I have a huge selection of 12" wheels to choose from. I also have an aggressive tread 26" swamp fox tire for our 12" ITP Wheels. This whole combo with center caps and lug nuts free shipping $729.00

Re: tire size
ok concidering the stock motor put out maybe 2.5-3 hp and you got a 400cc engine putting out maybe 30-45 hp you could probably run a 35-40" tire and wouldn't be able to use it all.
you can never have to much power or big enough tire so have fun and tear it up! |

I dont think it puts out near that amount of horsepower. I could be wrong I am not an expert but, the stock 290cc engine in a clubcar only puts out 8 or 9 horsepower. How can a 400 cc engine put out 35 0r 40? My 425cc Polaris 4 wheeler puts out about 20. It is benefitted by gearing and a belt drive. Is this a 2 stroke 400cc? |
