Cant decide 8"or 10" lift
Cant decide between a 8" or 10" lift for my 2001 club car DS. Any draw backs to a 10".
Undecided on tire size also. Does anyone have pictures of carts with these lift and tires. Thankyou |

Re: Cant decide 8"or 10" lift
Unless there is a significant difference in the weight of the two lift kits, I don't see how the power source would make much difference. Now overall tire diameter will make a difference, changing the effective final drive ratio if the diameter changes. Could you tell us a bit more about what you intend to use the cart for and where you will be running it?

Re: Cant decide 8"or 10" lift
Currently its 48volt stock. I have a plumquick purple motor sitting in the garage waiting for install and 4 awg cables. I was thinking 23" or 25" tires on a 12" rim.

Re: Cant decide 8"or 10" lift
I have a 8" lift with 22x11x10 tires.
The only disadvantage of the height is with my two youngest boys. It's a bit tough for the 2 yr to climb in. but then again he'll grow. After tomorrow he won't want anything to do with the cart as Santa is bringing him his first 12 volt Suzuki Quad and his 4 yr brother is getting a 2 cyl mini ATV. |

I say the bigger the better. But it really depends on what your building it for.

Re: Cant decide 8"or 10" lift
I'm leaning towards bigger is better. Some of these carts with 27" tires look cool. Intended use is everything fom cruising around the neighborhood, Disney, yard work, and the hunting camp.

Re: Cant decide 8"or 10" lift
I can tell you from experience, if you don't do what you want right now you'll regret it. If you settle for the 8 but want the 10, you'll end up selling this cart and starting over.

Re: Cant decide 8"or 10" lift
The 8" lift is a good lift for that tire size. The 10" lift is not nearly as strong and is considered a campground lift. (no offroad)
