Building our Lifted CC Gas
Well, Time to start a new build. This will be our first cart, may take a while so hang with me!
Plans are for a 6" Long Travel lift, wheels and tires and a new engine. Hopefully when I get ready for the BB kit Tom will still have 1 left or the 780 clone clutch will be available. In the next couple or three weeks I hope to finish cleaning the frame and prime with Zinc Chromate. Going to paint the frame with Acrylic Enamel paint (Black). Here's a few shots of the start! |

I'll be watching too. I worked for an aluminum extruder (till it closed last year) and we ran shapes for Club Car everyday. Never really get to see the end product assembled. Those I-beams call for a special aging so they can be formed later. That's our trivia of the day.

Re: Building our Lifted CC Gas
You can get that aluminum trailer wash that you clean dump trailers with at a dealer and it will etch that aluminum and make it look brand new. You do have to cut it and wear rubber gloves.

I used 50/50 on it to start with. Going back with straight brightener before it gets painted. |

Re: Building our Lifted CC Gas
Moving slowly along, hope to prime and paint the frame this week. Ordered a few parts from one of the site sponsors, replacing leaf spring bushings, snubber, brake shoes and brake cables (Cheap insurance!). I'm going to go ahead and change the oil in the rear axle while it's out.

Tell me about it!
FireGuy 74, how do you like your Allsports Long Travel kit? How's the turning radius? The Allsports kit looks a little more rugged than the Jakes, but I like the built in receiver on the Jakes. Opinions? |

Do you have any plans for brakes in the future?
