Default yamaha steering problem

81 G1 lifted 9", self fab. lift with air ride in back. How can/did any body figure out how to drop steiring. Did you cut the steiring arm and drop down or what. NEED HELP.

Most purchased lift kits will some with retro spindles or spacers to get the height correct. You can use existing spindle and use spacer to get the correct height- would seem to be the easiest way

Yes sabercat that help's a great deal. sorry for no pics. doing in body's garge on weekends and forgot camera but will post a bunch next weekend.

The fix is going to depend on where the spindles are now in relation to stock.
You dropped 9", did you move forward any? that will be the key to the fix but it is fixable.
Pics will help when you get them.

If you are fabricating parts for it you might consider the benefit of rack and pinion steering. I am building one now using a center load rack for a sand car. I have seen other custom builds using steering racks from golf carts.
