Default 97 TXT Build Just Starting

Thanks for the input in a couple of my earlier posts. I have "acquired" a 97 TXT. Actually it was my moms’s but since we use it all the time she said keep it. "FREE" If it's free; it's for me!!!

As I had said in a different thread, the lift on it was a 3" backyard job. It worked well for what it is and it only costs about 5 bucks, if you have a cutter and a welder. I will post some pics of it later in case someone is in need of a quick lift and short on cash.

After many sleepless nights and hours of searching, reading, just looking at pics, and after placing an order or two just to cancel an hour later; I finally ordered it all from a site sponsor. Decided that saving a little now would just cost more later.

I have on the way:
Jake's long travel front
Jake's HD rear springs
Jake's 2" wheel spacers for the rear
ITP Type 7 polished. Rob was able to find me a set. WOOHOO
23-10.5-12 Duro Deserts
Front Cowl body rivet kit

Marine radio kit from eBay

Here is a shot of how it looks now. Not much to look at but it runs great. Has the stock 295 in it (this will be a BB later) but runs great so in no hurry to replace just yet. Going to finish the cosmetics first.

I would like to do a split seat of some sort. Then I could turn the shifter plate 90 degrees and stick a handle up between the seats. Like the Polaris RZRs have.

Got the lift on. It was way more easy to install than I expected. Put the front and rear springs on in just over 2 hours. Still have a ways to go; but it's going!
