Default tire width

Looking to buy tires for G1 project. I am trying to decide between 22x8x10 or 22x11x10. What are the advantages and dis-advantages with wider or narrower tires? what are most guys running and how do you like them? thanks

The narrower tires would effectively be shorter (smaller over all diameter when mounted) on the same wheel. I would go with the 11 inch wide tires if they will fit (but i assume a lift kit would be required).

Wider tires will provide more stability. The narrower tire will go through the mud & snow better. It really comes down to the look you want.

I have an 81 G1 and put 23-10-10's on it with 2.5" spacers to get the look I wanted. even with 2+5 offset rims.

How about 8's on the front, 11's on the back..

I have 11's all the way around, seems too fat for the front.

Wider tires add a lot of stability and just look good!
