Default Gonna need decompression therapy!

I have a 97 EZGO with stock 295.
Jake’s long travel front
HD rear springs
ITP Type 7 polished with Dessert Duros 23x10.5x12

I have installed Jake’s long travel front and HD rear springs. The stock ones were completely shot. They arced in the wrong direction! Well it road like a rigid mounted rear end so I removed the next to the smallest spring. It road a little better so I also took out the smallest spring, thus virtually turning them into a standard spring again. Well it still rides like a freaking wagon in the rear. I ride a lot in the pasture and on trails at the house. And of course trails have roots sticking up in places. If you hit one of these without slowing down your gonna crack a vertebrate!
Would adding a long travel rear give me the soft ride that my boys ATVs have? I can go most places they can but have to go so much slower due to the rough ride.

Same here! Installed HD rears and had no suspension. I also took out some leafs which helped a little, but not much. The biggest difference I made was by greasing up the bushings and mounting points real well. Also make sure that you do not tighten the mounting bolts to tight. With only three leafs and a lot of grease, my rear suspension is breaking in nicely.

When I got the tires they had 18lbs in them. I lowered that to around 7. I will try the grease but I am probably going to byte the bullet and get a long rear. I mean there can't be more than 2 inches of rear travel max anyway I would think.
