Toe/Camber Adjustment and Wheel Span Questions
Its time to set the toe in and camber after my Allsports 7.5 inch lift. I have been riding it for a few days watching closing at the kinpins to make sure they didn't back out (since I haven't set the camber etc and applied the locktight after final adjustments.
I do have a slight \ / camber. I know how they are to be adjusted. I have also read that I need a slight toe in (approx 1/4 to 1/2 inch) once complete. My question is this. I have approximately 52" from outside of one rear tire to the outside of the other rear tire. I only have approximately 49" from outside my FRONT tire to outside of the other other FRONT tire. Should I try and adjust the kinpin adjustments out to match the rear span or should the front span be narrower than the rear? I can go out on the bottoms of the kingpins on the adjustments to level up the tires and fix my camber issue. I know that but should I go out on both top and bottom(they are all the way in on adjustment and have no idea exactly how far the adjustments are capable of moving) to attempt to match the rear stance? |

Re: Toe/Camber Adjustment and Wheel Span Questions
The front is narrower normally than the rear, and you should do your measurements with just the front dimmensions in mind.

Re: Toe/Camber Adjustment and Wheel Span Questions
i was thinking the instructions said 0 to 1/8 toe in?
just get the camber set properly and didn't worry too much about how wide it was on mine. were you able to center the steering rack travel? -Aaron |

Re: Toe/Camber Adjustment and Wheel Span Questions
you should be 1/8" shorter on the front of the tires vs the rear of the front tires. That will give you the proper toe in
