I am looking for a smoother ride in the rear of my cart. The leafs are just tooo darn stiff. I want to float! I already took out most of the leafs but still not there. I have the Jakes front kit and inquired about the rear and they said not to use it if I were going to run my rear seat at all. So where now? I remember seeing a post from wicked saying they had one but I don't see it on there site. Anybody got a link? Or two with some options.

Its a 97 gas TXT with a stock 295, 28 degree clutch and a shorter belt. Pulls great, runs great, rides like a covered wagon in the rear. Front feels pretty good. Running down a trail at the house front floats over then comes the pain!!! The rear is way to stiff. I have the HD springs but have already removed the two smaller leafs. That did help but still too hard. The tires are Duro Desserts 23x10.5x12 at 6lps pressure. We ride our cart every where. We will head out around the community and might travel 20 miles before getting back home. I have a removable rear seat for the boys. At the moment they total about 170 pounds together. When in the trails they are on their 4 wheelers and just myself and the wife are in the cart. I do climb the hills (that's where the shorter belt along with the 28 clutch shines, although I can see a BB in its future!!!!), cross the creek and hit the mud with it. I don't jump it! I plan on keeping the wheels on the ground if at all possible! Basically I just want to be able to cruise down the wide open trail and not worry about busting a kidney when I cross a root and head out on the open road with the family for a cruise.

not sure if you would be happy with a soft coil over 3 link rear suspension... when its soft over whoopy doos then it wont handle any weight on the back and the carts have body roll when you turn.... an off road truck or rail thant handle the bumps cant tow your toy box the the desert.... we have a 3 link for the v twin upgrades.... here is a video of one of oour honda v twin with our 3 link rear suspesion WICKEDCARTS Long travel honda 4 seater golf cart

i was going to make a overload spring for mine (once i get all my suspension sorted out) so that COULD be done with a soft suspension to still be able to carry a load.

Let me know what you come up with Chuddly, till then I guess I'm stuck with what I have since I use my cart both on and off road. The Duro Desserts are a real flat tire. Sorta look like a low profile tire does on a car. I really don't like the look, should have gone with the 489s like I wanted to. I think I will buy a set 489s or similar to get a more rounded tire. That should help some with a little more sidewall. Any comments?

Tcruz, I know what you mean. It took me just one ride to see the same when I put a Strech long travel front end on my Ezgo Workhorse. The front floated over the ruts and the rear hammered the driver & cart. My friend had a conventional long travel rear with a rear seat and the cart could handle the terrain okay but not the load. I built a 3 link that did both but, it does not 'float' over the ground quite as easy as the front but it is a terrific improvement over the leafs and I can still haul 600 pounds in the bed comfortably. I don't see anybody offering anything like this. Maybe you could build your own?
