ok so someone posted a few days ago that a leaning shock (coilover type) takes less to compress than a straight up and down one...is this right? if so what principal does this work off? leverage because you just move it further out on the control arm?

next question....i will probly eventualy do a big block swap...what kind of dollar figure (just a general amount) should i look to spend?(me doing all the labor) im just curious what parts and the general cost of it.

next...are there any bodys that fit on the G1 other than the fairly ugly G1 body? or is a custom built body my only other choice.

next....i have looked around for disc brake conversion kits....anyone know where i can find one and the price of them? I looked at site sponcer web sites and found nothing.

Thats all i can really think of right now but just give me more time and i will come up with somthing

Yes this is true ... it's just physics man The more you lay the shock over the less resistance it can offer....

I have seen guys do BB installs for a few hundred dollars and others for $2000. I think it depends upon your wants and resources ....

G1 & big block? I think you will need another differential to go with that new body .....

Chuddly, why don't you clean your G1 up and sell it, then go buy a golf cart that you want to fix up. Maybe be cheaper in the long run to start with something 4 cycle, a workhorse or the Yamaha equivalent. I may be wrong, but I think they have front brakes and more HP.

I might or might not endup doing that.....the thing i enjoy most is cutting things up and building them different from everyone else. I enjoy building things that other people buy and knowing that i can make anything. Its not so much about the time or money....its about having fun doing it. I plan on building my own long travel front end for the cart some time (at latest the winter).

I built my own rear long travel with help from the people here and the info available on the internet... There is a lot of good info on the internet about off road suspension building .... there is a lot to learn. The good thing about a store bought A arm front end is they have already done all the R&D. The D will cost you if you are not careful. Good luck. Let us know how this goes
